• How many people reading Automotive?

From Mark Hofmann@1:261/1304 to All on Sun May 17 17:45:41 2015
Just wondering how many people are still reading the Automotive echo?

I will miss Roy Witt, whom I have had many discussions on cars, etc on here. I
want to formally invite back everyone that was previously participating in here
    - including any people that Roy had previously banned.

I would like to see this become a good place to talk about cars, repairs, tricks, motorcycles, etc again.

perhaps you would be willing to take over moderatorship? you have my vote if such is needed ;)

it has been the only place for such discussion in many years...

I'm fine with that. I don't know how that process works these days. My goal is just to keep this echo alive and people interested in it. Everyone is welcome.

And hopefully many more years to come.

Just wondering how many people are still reading the Automotive echo?

    raises hand...

I've got a 2002 Camry SE with 6 cylinder and sport package that's been a dependable ride for 190K miles, and a 2014 Plug-In Prius I bought for carpooling (and being able to use the HOV lanes in California)

Once I sell the Camry I'm looking for a project car - something from the 1970s with a carburetor, points, distributor, and no electronics. Been looking for an older Fiat 124 Spyder as a project car to enjoy the California weather...

What happened to Roy? Simply posting in the echo will suffice to generate the interest you desire. This echo will expire in Nov 2015 FYI...

Lost another goodun, RIP Roy Witt ... whomever wants to assume Mod duties for this and his other echoes should contact me via netmail. Passwords are NEVER released, but I can purge his echoes to allow new Mods to submit updates. :) Otherwise his echoes will expire automatically 1 year from last update then get
    purged eventually.

That is the same mileage I have on my 2002 Monte Carlo. I also have a 2012 Dodge Charger, a 2001 Dodge Durango, and my wife's 2012 Lexus ES350. I also have a 2003 Harley Dyna Wide Glide.

With all the flexibility, this allows me to repairs without being stressed out of needed them to be done in order to get to work the next day.

I need to replace the power steering pump in the 2001 Durango within the next week. That is my next project on the list, including removing the remaining rust on the Monte Carlo and doing that body work.

Good to see so many people still checking/reading this echo!

Hope to keep some conversation going on here. I'm sure many of us have present
or past vehicle projects to discuss.

Just wondering how many people are still reading the Automotive echo?

    One right here. :)

I will miss Roy Witt, whom I have had many discussions on cars, etc on here. I want to formally invite back everyone that was previously participating in here - including any people that Roy had previously banned.

I'll be missing him, too. Didn't always see eye to eye with the guy, but I was involved in some stimulating discussion with him. Never had the pleasure of being banned yet. ;)
I'll be lurking here, for sure, and judging by the state of repair with my vehicle I'll be posting in here and trying to spurn a bit of discussion myself within a few weeks/months.
Thank you for your re-engagement, Mark. :) It's appreciated.

I had many good conversations with Roy over the years, also.

That is one of the reasons why I posted the general "invite" to everyone to invite them back - if they were in fact banned or not. Things will be more fun
and relaxed - like a hobby should be.

    Great!

I am going to post a few projects I just completed over the weekend.
