Jon,
Who here has kids? I know myself, I do not have any. Or that I know
of. Haha. Kids are so good though, they bring their childlike personality out and gives me a smile when I see them.
I never had kids. I didn't get married until I was 43, but never dreamed
I'd be a widower at 47.
I had the chicken pox at 20 (I couldn't get it as a child), which put me
in the hospital for a week (they thought I was going into encephalitis),
and out of work at Burger King, and out of college at the University Of Arkansas At Little Rock for 2 months (by order of the Health Department)... then after working around nasty solvents like M.E.K. (methyl-ethyl-ketone)
in silkscreen printing for nearly 20 years...as my late wife quipped "They wouldn't spay me, so he volunteered to get neutered". So, I'm "shooting blanks". <G>
I don't mind kids if they are "well behaved", but those seem so few and
far between anymore. A former high school classmate from 40 years ago, who
I've hooked up with as friends (we likely will stay that way), is a
divorcee, because of abuse. In short, I've had to be a shoulder to cry
on for her lately...because there are other gory details, but I'll spare
them from the echo.
Daryl
... Why do we send cargo by ship, but shipments by car??
